Nineteen years ago, Miami Ad School became the first institution in the world to teach Strategy & Account Planning. This year, we launched our first ever Toronto edition of our Boot Camp. Our Graduates

Our students all had different backgrounds before coming to Miami Ad School – some were already at agencies, some at startups, and some in search of opportunities. Some had a little more strategy experience and knowledge than others, but all of them had the desire to take the leap to a better career. They are all hand-picked for their experience, passion and eagerness to succeed in the industry.

Bootcamp Highlights

At Miami Ad School we like to push boundaries. That includes pushing our students. We pushed an intense, hands-on and fast-paced boot camp to Canada for the first time.

 

Boot campers improv(e) their communication skills at Second City, get personality evaluations by Anne Sutherland and a lesson from Jason Chaney in account planning and strategy in Canada.

We kick off the major modules by Shelley Brown & Heidi Phillip, covering topics like research, insight and brief writing.

Google Canada shines light on how to use their tools for a better research while navigating through macro and micro trends.

Dino Demopoulos becomes (a nicer version of) Simon Cowell for weekly student pitches, giving them feedback and polishing their skills along the way.

Jason Last, Tahir Ahmed & Dean McBeth stop by to shed light on the always changing digital landscape and measuring impact.

For 3 weeks, strategists, planners, art directors, writers and designers came together in teams to collaborate (and to butt heads) to solve a millennial challenge for Cirque Du Soleil. Axel Bedikyan, Director of Marketing and Strategy, went back to his team in Montreal with a fresh perspective.

Portfolio reviews, mock interviews, feedback sessions…anything on how to improve as a strategist and get that job. You name it, we did it.

Agency Tours! Some of our students went on a 3 day city-wide tour, visiting 9 agencies at every end of the city.
